Shimmering Vent

The Corps of Explorers aboard the E/V Nautilus discover a new vent site. This isn't your average vent site, the fluid coming out of the earth here is slowly escaping and quickly diffusing into the surrounding water. It's slightly higher in temperature than the water around the site, that's why we see "shimmering" in the footage. The team imaged, took temp measurements and mapped in high resolution all within a couple hours.
