Tell us about your work/research. What kinds of things do you do?

I work under the Aquaculture department working on youth outreach as well as working with the community creating projects on outer Islands, join trainings, and inout dta, mapping out areas using the DEP Map, and using coral net.

What sparked your initial interest in your career?

I know for a fact it would and always would be the reason of my mom and dad. Because they came a long way to give and make a better life for me and my siblings and going into this career coming in a an Islander from Solomon Islands Working under the marine Authority.

Who influenced you or encouraged you the most?

My mom and my dad encourage me the most because they came from a really rough background and made their way up. Its inspiring to me so I push myself everyday to be successful for them.

What element of your work/research do you think is the most fascinating?

The most fascinating element of my work would be the pace I work in and the duration of work will be done. I like to work quick but again diligently and complete all matters at the day before the deadline.

What other jobs led you to your current career?

I've had many opportunities working at a non-profitable organization, sports departments, government ministries, and doing carpentry work, cleaning dishes at restaurants. I started of as a gardener at my school, then a dishwasher at a local market, then a carpenter, then organizations, ministries.

Associates Degree in Liberal Arts
Bachelor degree in Arts Double Major in Law and Geography - (Ongoing)

What are your hobbies?

I love to walk, play basketball, rugby, soccer. Listening to music, writing music and producing music. Spending time with parents, spending time with my girlfriend.

What advice would you give someone who wants to have a career like yours?

Never be afraid to work outside your field of work, it may be hard and unsteady but at the end of the day the outcome is all worth it. Working towards what you want, comes with obstacles and going through them is the only option. Go big or Go home
