Our 2024 expedition season has officially begun, and we’re excited to bring you a new and improved NautilusLive.org from which to join us! Embark on a voyage into the ocean's depths like never before as we unveil exciting enhancements to our deep-sea streaming ocean exploration portal NautilusLive.org. In our goal to welcome you into the control room exploring alongside our team, you’ll notice some new features on the website this season to help you join the team in real-time.

This upgrade allows us to bring higher-quality and streamlined perspectives to Nautilus Live without sacrificing the breadth or depth of our live offerings. Improvements to data management and production capabilities on the ship have removed earlier constraints regarding which cameras were sent to shore. The relaunched channels take full advantage of the multitude of cameras on the remotely operated vehicles, in the control room, and around the ship, plus the data from dozens of onboard tools to show you the most important views and feeds from E/V Nautilus whether we’re mapping, diving, or exploring with multiple technologies together.

Advancements in global connectivity thanks to satellite partners mean we remain committed to bringing you around-the-clock live streaming video and data from the deep ocean so you never miss a moment of the newest revelations from the planet. With three channels of high-resolution video, you can choose your perspective on all the action.

And don't worry: if you were a fan of our old Quad channel, you'll find a richer multiview experience on Channel 3 during ROV dives. Our video engineers in the control van can select from multiple cameras to assemble a combined view that will best transport you to the scene. As we launch ROV dives, tune into the new channel 3 for more behind-the-action multiviews, similar to the team’s perspective in the control room!

A new dynamic, interactive map not only replaces the old, low-resolution version but transcends it entirely, offering context and detail right on your screen. You can now track E/V Nautilus’ progress across the Pacific thanks to a new expedition track overlaid on GEBCO’s global bathymetry model.

Exploring the ocean requires a lot of data—check out the data streams to the right of the live video for incoming information from sensors around the vessel. The homepage also has a new menu bar to give you quick and easy access to the current expedition’s mission, location, and inspiring team members.

One thing that hasn’t changed is your ability to submit questions to the Corps of Exploration inside the control van using our messaging feature. We love having you share in our expeditions, so remember to ask questions and share your curiosity during ROV dives.  We can’t wait for your participation in our ocean exploration adventures!
