Dive Highlights August 27th, 2013

For our latest dive we explored the rise known as the Falkor Rise. This was an area where a month ago the R/V Falkor detected methane in the mid-water column at two different depths. We returned to this area to try and determine where the source of the methane could be. This rise had some of the most striking geology we had seen during our exploration of the Mid-Cayman Rise and also held numerous examples of exciting deep sea biology.
