Happy Deep Week! OET is excited to collaborate with Peppermint Narwhal to celebrate the creatures of the deep sea. Vent Shrimp are crustaceans found only in chemosynthetic habitats, such as spire-like chimneys formed by hydrothermal activity. There, they spend their days grazing on chemosynthetic bacteria, which thrive on these sulfur chimneys. Watch a video on vent shrimp here.
