Acrobatic Gaza Snail in the Deep Sea

Be wowed by the incredibly unique movements of the Gaza g. snail spotted during our NA153 expedition while diving on the Central Sculpin Ridge Seamount, about 135 nm ENE of Johnston Atoll. Don’t be alarmed, it’s not falling uncontrollably; this is how these deep-sea mollusks travel along the seafloor. That’s some acrobatic routine!
