Expedition in 60 Seconds: Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary
In 2015, the boundaries of Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary expanded to include 1,286 square miles of offshore habitat including a continental shelf, rocky bank, and several canyons. Many of these newly-added regions have never been explored--until now! Learn more about our expedition launching August 6-14, 2017 to visually survey this unique deep water region.
Continuing north along the California coast to Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary (CBNMS), offshore the San Francisco Bay Area, Nautilus will visually survey deep-water habitat that has never been explored and characterize habitat, species, and communities.
