Stephanie Toro
Stephanie Toro is a high school science teacher at the Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas where she teachers Biology, Marine Science, Environmental Science, and Geology. Stephanie has been teaching Earth Science related courses since 2004 including middle school through college levels, in Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Hawaii and Texas. Through her background in both marine science and curriculum and instruction, she has been able to merge her passions of helping improve the availability and quality of marine education to students. Her favorite teaching moments are those that allow her to work side by side with students literally getting their feet wet and muddy, as they experience coastal and marine ecosystems first hand.
Stephanie Toro graduated from the University of Virginia in 2005 with BA degrees in Environmental Science and Biology and a Master in Teaching for Secondary Science. She also earned a Master in Science from Old Dominion University in 2011 and is currently finishing a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction: Science Education at the University of Houston.

I am excited that now I get to be the one to go on the adventure and be performing marine science again.
