Roy Armstrong is a professor of bi-optical oceanography at the Department of Marine Sciences, University of Puerto Rico. His research is highly interdisciplinary, focusing on water optics, airborne and satellite remote sensing, coral reef ecology and bio-optics, and the effects of Sahara dust aerosols in the eastern Caribbean.
Roy Armstrong has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Boston University and a master’s and a doctorate in Marine Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.
