Hello, I’m Bec!
 

I feel very privileged to be working in Palau as a communications and outreach officer at the Palau International Coral Reef Center and am excited to be part of the Palauan Voices in Ocean Exploration fellowship. 

Being Australian I’ve always had a profound love for the ocean, often scuba diving, snorkeling or fishing in my spare time. From early on, I knew I wanted to inspire others to love, see and protect the ocean. This inspired me to complete my Bachelor of Science, majoring in nature-based ecotourism and my Honors in Science Communication. I then had the opportunity to work for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority as a Reef Education Officer before moving to Palau.

I can’t wait to learn from the talented people around me and incorporate my learnings into the work I am doing in Palau.
