Randy Laurence
Randy is a second career high school science teacher with 19 years experience teaching Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Earth/Space Science. Randy manages an ambient air quality station for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and serves as Staff Biologist for the Rio Bravo Nature Center. Randy has worked as a commercial diver, National Institutes of Health researcher at Texas A&I studying the toxicology of rattlesnake venom, and has 14 years experience in farm, cattle feedlot, and slaughter operations. Randy has worked as a researcher in aquatic restoration at Texas State University and as a site manager for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in the study of air current patterns in the Big Bend National Park area.
Randy graduated from Texas A&I University in 1974 with a degree in biology and geology, and will graduate in December 2011 from Sul Ross University with a Masters in Education.
