What are your degrees and certifications?
Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering - University of California San Diego 2009
What are your hobbies?
Making and fixing things
What advice would you give someone who wants to have a career like yours?
For mechanical engineering, it's helpful to not only apply the theoretical knowledge from school, but join it with the practical knowledge and skills gained outside of school. A good example would be to understand how to fabricate a part that was engineered as well as knowing what goes into fabricating it. School gives us the foundation for our knowledge and skill set, but most of what I learned was from work as well as from hobbies and general curiosity. Surround yourself with smart and talented people and learn as much as possible from them. Work hard, be a team player, treat others with respect, and don't assume any job is below you.
