Jim Salestrom


Jim Salestrom is an Emmy Award winning songwriter. He has been recording songs and albums since he was 13. Artists Jim has worked with include John Denver and Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton's band recorded Jim's cd Nautilus. The songs that were written on the ship and about his first exploration, were then recorded at The Sound Kitchen in Nashville with Richard Dennison - Vickie Dempsey and Jennifer O'Brien singing and Kent Wells producing.

Jim has been singing and traveling around the world for 45 years.

"I loved the fact that Captain Nemo Blues was written in part by Captain Nemo (Dr Robert Ballard) and that our friendship inspired the album about the good ship Nautilus. I loved the first trip off the coast of Sicily and now here at Kick Em' Jenny volcano off the coast of Granada with Dr Katy Bell, Alison Fundis, Pam Saletrom and crew is a dream come true- the ship is beautiful and the sun is shining" Ned
