Jeffery Bosma
Jeff has two decades of experience in the engineering and oceanographic instrumentation fields working with deep-ocean, scientific grade, instrumentation and freshwater integrated instrumentation suites. Typical sensor applications used in these systems were acoustic, conductive, electromagnetic, optic, and electrochemical in nature. Jeff’s involvement with these varied systems as a production manager ranged from initial builds and testing through to maintenance and quality control of all aspects related to calibration standards and procedures as well as establishing instrumentation calibration facilities in the United Kingdom, Japan and Singapore. Working within the framework of the ONC Innovation Centre as the Technology Demonstration Facility Engineer, Jeff uses the Facility as a venue to test, verify and demonstrate the operation of new, commercially available sensors for ocean observatories.
Jeff Bosma graduated from Camosun College with an Electronics Technologist's diploma in 1992. He completed his degree in Electrical Engineering in 2011.
"I am interested and excited to be working on the Nautilus because of its involvement in many very interesting ocean projects. I think the crew will be very interesting to talk to."
