Jacques Jougla

Jacques Jougla is a 10th grade student at Carpinteria High School in Carpinteria, California. He was selected to a JASON Project National Student Argonaut for the JASON Project's 2013-2014 expedition. Jacques learned about the JASON Project's science curriculum in the 6th grade at Carpinteria Middle School. For years, Jacques has worked to restore his town's nature preserves, such as the Carpinteria Salt Marsh, and educate the public on the importance of these ecosystems. He plays tennis on his high school's varsity team, and plays the alto saxophone in band. He is also the Chapter President of his school's debate club, Junior Statesmen of America.
