Hakon Jones is a junior in high school with a passion for biology and environmental sciences. He participates in the Caretta Project each summer, doing research and helping to ensure the survival of the Loggerhead Sea Turtle on Wassaw Island in Georgia. Additionally he spends the majority of his summers rehabilitating raptors and running clean up and feeding at the BirdsAcre Sanctuary in Maine. An avid diver, he has been diving for many years and finally was able to pursue his dreams of diving with great hammerheads in Bimini a week after his spring break ended. 

Currently enrolled in numerous AP classes, Hakon Jones challenges himself with numerous classes as a High School Junior at Savannah Country Day School. 

"I am looking forward to working on the Nautilus as it will help me to broaden my area of interest in the ocean."
