Dejon King

Dejon King is a Junior National Honor Society student that has attended Engineering based schools since Kindergarten. This summer, Dejon volunteered at the National Society of Black Engineer's SEEK (Summer Engineering Experience for Kids) camp to help over 300 elementary students develop their STEM knowledge and experiences through building things such as fuel cell and solar cars. In addition to challenging himself in the classroom and the community, Dejon loves to compete on the basketball court and has played AAU basketball for the last two years.

Dejon will attend Carver High School, a magnet program in the Aldine Independent School District, as a freshman this year and study electronics. His goal is to stay focused and work hard so that he can earn both an academic and an athletic scholarship to the school of his choice.
