Danielle Young is a PhD student at Temple University, where she is a member of the Cordes lab focusing in deep-sea ecology. Her research focuses on deep-sea corals in the Gulf of Mexico, attempting to understand the effects of the 2010 Deep-water Horizon oil spill on these communities.
Before starting graduate school, Danielle worked at the University of Pennsylvania as a research specialist in a cell and developmental biology lab. Danielle Young graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2011 with a degree in biology with a focus in ecology and started graduate school at Temple University in 2012.
