Christopher Taylor
Chris Taylor provides electrical system design, leadership, and engineering support for underwater vehicle systems at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s (WHOI) Deep Submergence Laboratory. His areas of interest include electrical systems architecture and performance, fiber optics, and troubleshooting. After completing his B.S./ M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Florida Tech, he spent five years working for the Hawaii Undersea Research Laboratory (HURL) on manned submersibles Pieces IV/V and the ROV RCV-150 before joining WHOI in 2002. His main focus at WHOI has been the Jason ROV, Nereus HROV, Nereid Hybrid Tether (nHT), and Nereid Under Ice (nUI) systems.
