Chad Tamis is a marine educator for the public education program at Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre. Chad has also worked as the assistant Dive & Safety officer, a scientific diver, as well as assisting with foreshore support and marketing. Chad has worked as a divemaster and dive co-ordinator for the UVic Scuba Club for the 2 years while he finished his degree and now has his own photography company that he is developing, focusing on underwater organisms. Chad also worked as the Shipper & Receiver for Centra Windows, and doing car installations and wiring at Al's Meter Shop. Other jobs in the past in different industries combined with being raised on a farm has offered Chad the ability to have a broad skill set with good work ethic.

Chad Tamis graduated from the University of Victoria with a BSc in Biology with Marine Concentration in the summer of 2014. He completed the last two years of his degree in Victoria, focusing on Marine Sciences, after completing an Associate of Science Degree at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

"As a diver and photographer I find the work done on the Nautilus very fascinating. The chance to explore areas of the ocean unavailable to myself as a diver truly excites me."
