Alexandra Stote
Alex Stote is broadly interested in ocean engineering science and how it applies to marine conservation. As an undergraduate, her studies focused on marine biomechanics, physiology and aspects of deep sea biology. After graduating in May, she spent several months working on a commercial salmon fishing vessel in Alaska. She is currently stationed as a scientist ashore for the Nautilus cruise with the intention of analyzing the distribution of faunal aggregations around cold seep sites.
Alex Stote graduated from Harvard College in 2014 with a degree in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology.
"One of the most exciting aspects of being a part of the Nautilus cruise is getting the chance to learn from true pioneers and professionals in oceanography- the field about which I'm most passionate. It's a unique opportunity that has already proved to be inspiring."
