Going for a Swim...Underwater

We returned to the brine pool to take a dip and capture water samples and sediment samples from the nearby shore. The concept of “dunking” into a lake, while 4,200 feet below the surface of the ocean was a little unusual, and the effects were spectacular. These images capture the sequence of the ROV Hercules’ quick swim in the underwater lake.
