Jeff is a senior pursuing a degree in anthropology and chemistry at Luther College.  He will complete his undergraduate requirements with a senior project to be performed in part while onboard the Nautilus.  Jeff will work with both Dr. Dan Davis and his archaeological research on pre-modern shipwrecks, and Dr. Michael Brennan and his continuing geochemical investigations of the Black Sea’s oxic-suboxic zone dynamics.  Jeff worked at the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park in Skagway, Alaska, during summer 2010, and prior to joining the Nautilus expedition, he will be volunteering at a Maasai secondary school in northern Tanzania. 

Jeff will graduate from Luther College in Fall 2012 with a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry and anthropology.  He plans on attending graduate school in the areas of archaeology or chemistry in Fall 2013.
