Eric Martin received his Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 2003, and completed his Masters Degree from the same program in 2005, focusing in underwater acoustics. His primary interests range across development of autonomous underwater vehicles, ocean instrumentation and acoustic science.

Eric currently works as an ROV pilot and engineer for the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute.
