Eirini Chrysocheri

Marine Archaeologist
Hellenic Institute of Ancient and Medieval Alexandrian Studies

Eirini Chrysocheri is a Marine Archaeologist. Over the past years she has participated in several underwater archaeological projects. She has worked in 2006 and 2007 with the Institute of Underwater Archaeological Research (ΙΕΝΑΕ), Athens. In 2008 she took part in the deepwater survey Danaos project. From 2001 until nowadays she is taking part in the underwater archaeological surveys in Alexandria, Egypt as a senior archaeologist of the Hellenic Institute of Ancient and Medieval Alexandrian Studies.

Her educational background includes a BA Degree in Archaeology and History from the University of Athens, Postgraduate studies in Social Anthropology from the University of the Aegean and a MA with distinction in Maritime Archaeology from the University of Southampton. She is currently working as a lecturer on Maritime Archaeology in the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) in Rhodes.

Expeditions

Eirini participated in the following Ocean Exploration Trust expeditions:
