Chris Englert, of North Woodstock, NH, is a graduate student at the University of New Hampshire within the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping. His introduction to ocean studies came from travels to Belize and a summer marine biology course at the St. Paul's School, Concord, NH. He has continued his exploration of the oceans with time spent in Costa Rica, Australia, St. Kitt's and Nevis, Delaware, the Gulf of Maine and most recently the Arctic. Chris has accumulated nearly 6 full months of time at sea so far in his career. His graduate studies involve sediment transport modelling and visualization around anthropogenic structures in the coastal ocean within a GIS framework.  

Chris Englert graduated from Colby College, Waterville ME in 2010 with a degree in geology and environmental policy. He is currently studying for his M.S. in Earth Science at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping, University of New Hampshire.
